Social Service
First Aid Coverage
The AMS will, on request, provide first aid coverage for government departments and non-profit-making organizations. To allow sufficient time for processing, applicants should submit their application forms (available in the “Application Forms Download” page) to the AMS Headquarters at least 14 clear working days in advance and state clearly the information required, e.g. date, time, venue and estimated number of participants of the event. The AMS will response within 10 working days of receiving a request. Nevertheless, depending on different circumstances (e.g. major events that are likely to attract a large population), individual applications received less than 14 working days in advance will be considered.
Non-emergency Ambulance Transfer Service
The AMS provides point-to-point non-emergency ambulance transfer service (NEATS) between residences and medical institutions, clinics, hospitals or district health centres for Hong Kong citizens with special medical care. The service is available from Monday to Sunday (including Public Holidays) as from 0800 to 1800 hours, and it covers Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, New Territories and Lantau Island, etc.
The Volunteer Team of the Auxiliary Medical Service
The AMS Volunteer Team (AMSVT) has been striving to provide medical, first aid and health education service to the public. Members of the AMSVT include a group of current and retired AMS members, staff of the Headquarters and their family members who are enthusiastic about community and charity activities.
