Cause
Blood supply to the scalp is very profuse; so any injuries
to the scalp may result in profuse bleeding. Aim at first
aid is to stop bleeding & bandage the wound.

Aid Treatment
First evaluation procedure is similar to those applied
to trauma casualty:

Maintain the casualty's airway, protect his neck & monitor
his casualty's consciousness.
|

(2) |
Monitor the casualty's breathing & circulation. If possible,
provide the casualty with high concentration of oxygen.
|
| |
(3) |
Treat his wound & control his bleeding.
|
| |
(4) |
Send him to hospital.
